Professor Rye regularly bikes to work from his home on Tyrone Road—a distance of around 7 or 8 miles one way. The benefits he names range from the beautiful scenery to helping the planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Terry has been biking to work from his home in Jerome Park since 1999. He originally started biking as a way to avoid high gas bills from driving large vehicles. He is happy to avoid Morgantown traffic on the rail trail, but admits it can be a challenge with snow and ice in the winter.
