Friends of Deckers Creek
Friends of Deckers Creek is working towards a goal: for the entire length of Deckers Creek to be fishable by 2010 and swimmable by 2015. Through remediation projects, trash clean-ups, community outreach, and environmental education, Friends of Deckers Creek hopes to turn the creek from a liability into a community asset.

Friends of the Cheat is a watershed organization for the Cheat River in West Virginia. The mission of Friends of the Cheat is to restore, preserve, and promote the outstanding natural qualities of the Cheat River.
Mon County Habitat for Humanity and ReStore
Mon County Habitat for Humanity builds homes in partnership with residents in need in Monongalia County. The homes are then sold to those residents at a no profit, 0% interest mortgage.
The ReStore provides takes donations of reusable furniture, appliances, residential & commercial fixtures and furnishings, and building materials. These items are resold at thrift store prices.
Mon River Trails Conservancy
The Mon River Trails Conservancy (MRTC) was founded to acquire, develop, and manage the Mon River and Deckers Creek Rail-Trail system in North Central West Virginia. MRTC manages these trails for non-motorized use, such as walking, jogging, cycling, and cross-country skiing, and creates and promotes opportunities for recreation, tourism, economic development, historic preservation, healthy lifestyles, and environmental conservation.
Morgantown City Council Bike Board
The Morgantown City Council Bicycle Board aims to make Morgantown a Bicycle Friendly Community as defined by the League of American Bicyclists so as to reduce traffic demands, afford better air quality, and improve public health.
Morgantown Green Drinks
Every month, people interested in sustainability come together for Green Drinks in 766 cities to participate in an informal discussion. The Morgantown chapter meets once a month at 5 o’clock at the Mountain State Brewing Company to talk, share insights, and meet others interested in similar topics.
Positive Spin
Positive Spin recycles bicycles, making them available to anyone for a suggested donation. The proceeds support bike education outreach and transportation advocacy efforts.
