Position Overview:

WECAN, WVU Environmental Conservation Awareness Now, is a collaborative university effort committed to ensuring a more sustainable future for WVU students, faculty, staff, and for the citizens of West Virginia. The Research and Innovation internship program offers students the ability to gain and utilize skills in a variety of fields that helps further sustainability on campus and beyond. WVU departments and facilities have numerous research opportunities available. Some specific programs include: the biodiesel project, the organic research farm, and the Carbon Products Group.

Primary Functions:

• Research and perform data analysis, as needed
• Communicate with university departments
• Participate in idea collaboration in team settings
• Assist with education and outreach initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
