Position Overview:

WECAN, WVU Environmental Conservation Awareness Now, is a collaborative university effort committed to ensuring a more sustainable future for WVU students, faculty, staff, and for the citizens of West Virginia. The Information Technology internship program offers students the ability to gain and utilize skills to help reduce waste within the field of Information Technology applied at WVU.

Primary Functions:

• Research and perform data analysis, as needed
• Communicate with university departments
• Perform and analyze current information technology systems in place at WVU
• Compare current information technology practices at WVU to other universities
• Assist with education and outreach initiatives
• Encourage students, faculty, and staff to use sustainable information technology practices
• Update and maintain website and social media
• Other duties as assigned
