It is easy to see from the unmatched pride of our fans that Athletics is the heart and soul of West Virginia University. Thanks to the efforts of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and the WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, we can look forward to the sustainable future of our athletic facilities and their surroundings.

The Athletics Department at WVU has made sustainable contributions to the athletic community and its facilities. The Athletics Department has installed energy efficient power strips in all athletic department offices, coordinated the placement of recycling bins in athletic facilities and athletic fields, set locker room televisions to an energy saving mode, placed timers on athletic facility lights, and installed filters on faucets to eliminate the use of bottled water. The Athletics Department wants Mountaineer fans everywhere to help WVU become more sustainable.
