New Course: Sustainable Living

Are you living a sustainable lifestyle? Even if your answer is yes—how would you know? Can you do better? And why does it matter? To learn more about the answers to these questions, a new course entitled Sustainable Living will cover the principles and practices of sustainability. This course will explore the personal, social, and environmental aspects of making sustainable choices in your everyday life. In order to reflect on the many perspectives of sustainability, five instructors from four different disciplines will be involved: Alan Collins and Cheryl Brown from Agricultural and Resource Economics, Chris Haddox from Design & Merchandising, Jim Kotcon from Plant and Soil Sciences, and Chad Pierskalla from Forestry and Natural Resources. Classes will be located in South Agricultural Sciences Building Room 1021 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Students can register for this course under Design Studies (DSGN) 293A (CRN 87786), Plant Science (PLSC) 293B (CRN 87681), or Resource Management (RESM) 293L (CRN 87635).
